This post highlights our installation of a DormaKaba ED250 automatic door operator and a Von Duprin Surface Vertical Rod Exit Device, fully integrated with the college’s existing access control system.
The Challenge: Outdated and Failed Door Systems
The college faced significant issues with its primary access point: the main entrance exterior doors. The outdated door operator and concealed vertical rod exit device were no longer reliable, frequently malfunctioning and compromising accessibility and security.

- Provides unrestricted egress for emergency situations with reliable latch retraction when using the automatic door operator.
- When integreated properly, this device is compatabley any access control or automatic door system.
- This exit device unlocks electronically only when instructed to by the access control system, or when the interior automatic door activation switch is used.
