Our Journey

Established in 2009 with a clear mission to revolutionize handicap accessibility. We specialized in automatic swing and sliding doors, electrified hardware, and integrating access control systems. Our unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction helped us grow, and we were proud to build our reputation solely through word-of-mouth and referrals.

We quickly ventured into handling all door-related services in a commercial building, but soon realized the necessity of focus and specialization for sustainable growth. Hence, we decided to return to our roots: automatic doors and electrified hardware. In response to the increasing crime rates and break-ins in recent years, we have expanded our services to include security upgrades for existing buildings, a move that has been especially impactful in apartment complexes and retail spaces.

Today, we are proud to have a team of highly skilled technicians who are recognized as industry leaders in the automatic door space. Our vision is to be the industry front-runner in automatic doors, security hardware, and related controls across high-rise towers, retail, healthcare, and similar commercial spaces. The Founding Year

Doug and Linda Allen, armed with three decades of industry experience, founded our company in April. Later that year, Chris Allen came on board to bring his expertise with Stanley Access to our team.

The Year of Expansion

We expanded our operation with a second service vehicle and warmly welcomed Steve Allen from Stanley Access to the team, marking our growth.

Moving On Up

A big leap forward as we moved from Doug & Linda's garage to a professional shop space on Yellowhead Trail.

Team Growth

Our team grew with the addition of Cory, also from Stanley Access and our first non-family employee, who is still an integral part of our team today. This year also marked the arrival of our third service vehicle and the joining of Rob Allen to our business development and operations team.

Transition and Transformation

A pivotal transition as founders Doug and Linda Allen retired. Ownership passed to Rob, Steve, and Chris, marking a new chapter in our company's story. In the same year, Steve Allen left the field to focus on projects and estimating, while Chris led and still leads the way in advanced field support for special projects.

Commitment to Safety

A significant achievement - we became COR certified, demonstrating our unshakeable commitment to safety.

The Rebranding

A new look emerged with a modern logo, moving away from the Shark design. The re-brand reflected our evolution and forward-thinking approach.

Welcoming Industry Leaders and Growth Milestone

We welcomed two well-respected industry leaders to our team. Tony, with over two decades of field experience with automatics and special projects, and Allie, who brought many years of experience managing large-scale projects. This year, we also celebrated crossing the 10 employee milestone.

Shifting Focus and Strengthening Our Team

This year, we shifted our primary focus back to automatic swing and sliding doors, security upgrades, electronic door hardware, and access control integration. Lisa Allen also joined us as an administrative and safety coordinator, further strengthening our team.
